Long ago, in a dark period of human history, St. Patrick’s Day was not celebrated at all. Soon small gatherings grew into large ones. Large ones turned into parades. Parties coursed through civilizations around the globe. Now you can find St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in every nook and cranny of our world.
I asked members of my Celtic Musicians News to tell me where you could hear them. Here are a few responses:

Spreading the Celtic culture of our fathers
One moment this lot are knocking your socks off and making you kick back your chair even if you were planning on a quiet night down the pub, and the next minute they sit you down and soothe your fevered brow with melodies to tame the tortured beast.
The best beer is usually the local brew, so here in Pilsen where we’re based I’d say Pilsner Urquell is the best, but when I’m in England I’d have to go for a pint of Harvey’s Ale from the Lewes brewery. Oh and in America, Samuel Adams is a jolly fine brew.
We’ve a venerable old lady cat of 21 years called Princess (‘Princezna’ in Czech), so I’d have to say cats (so as not to hurt her feelings), but dogs are mighty fine too.
Ah- the Pilsner brewery is great, especially the tasting in the cellars at the end of the tour…
There are so many things we love about playing music…the people you meet, the places you visit, but one of the best things is seeing people dancing to our jigs and reels and polkas and laughing and smiling and enjoying themselves. That’s what makes it all worth while.
